Before + After. Don’t be afraid to manipulate the room a little bit when taking pictures. There’s nothing wrong with “setting up a shot”. I opened up the curtains and closed the double doors behind her. I had her sisters step out for a moment and let her have her moment. Sometimes finding those moments for your brides is everything.
Finding a few minutes after the dinner to sneak your couple away for sun set photos might be their favorite part of the day. Reminding the mother of the bride to give just one more hug to her daughter on her big day after she zips up her dress might bring more emotion than you would have ever thought. You as the photographer have SO much power in a wedding day to create moments and memories for these couples and their loved ones. They are trusting you to not only find those moments but figuring out ways to make it look that much better. I promise they won’t be upset that you open the curtains for more light. 😉

Vinny and Claire came all the way from Colorado to Moab to seal the deal. They have spent countless summers exploring the red dirt mountain biking trails of Moab, and knew this was the place they wanted to tie the knot. We hiked in to one of their favorite spots that overlooked Castle valley, and watched the sun paint colors on this vast desert scape that almost brought me to tears.
Moab is one of those places that just lights this fire in me. It makes my imagination soar. It will never get old no matter how many times I explore it. From soaring towers, to orange arches, to incredibly deep canyons, I can honestly say it’s a place I can’t stop returning to and dreaming of. I hope you can feel that sense of wonder we all felt as the sunset embraced this beautiful corner of the world 🌅

Who doesn't LOVE the candid shots where you're enjoying each other as a couple, but you just can't deny the power in a totally captivating look straight at the camera. And the colors?! I mean, look at that sunset on the mountains behind them! These two had such an effortlessly FUN love together, and pure adoration for each other. I love spending time with my couples and feeling the love between them and what makes each couple unique, it's one of the best parts of capturing your moments.
